DESCRIPTION
Rallying drills, full court singles and doubles match play, cross court and down the line rally drills and much
more is emphasized at this level. Doubles and singles strategies and tactics and how to use Spin, slice and
flat shot execution on serves and ground strokes are taught (depending on their progress).
Specialty shots like lobs, overheads, drop shots, Karaoke shots and more are introduced.
Team and individual competitive games are focused on to allow for a fun, challenging and
motivating tennis environment. Spin and Power shots and tactical game play is emphasized.
High level cross training drills with ladders, donuts and other tools are key focus.
Players who show a lot of progress and enthusiasm in challenge matches are
chosen to represent "tennisbuddys" to compete against other clubs.
A student must take 3 months consecutive classes in order to be evaluated to go to the next level.
Every student grows at their own pace and the instructor always keeps an eye and evaluates each kid.
The instructor always emphasizes that a student's biggest reward is their progress (no matter how small or big).
To just be outdoors and active and build good hand eye coordination with a sport like tennis is a health benefit in and
of itself. Important factor is that always choose a program and an instructor that a child really enjoys no matter what
sport you pick, then they will more likely be able to choose a sport and grow to love it.
