Registration and payments and liability forms must be received by the 25th of the month prior to the 1 month or
3 months, you are signing up for. Anything mailed or postmarked after the 25th is subject to late fee without any exceptions.
Liability forms need to be filled out only once each year.
Designed for our youngest players, with little or no exposure to tennis.
A student must take 3 month consecutive classes in order to be evaluated to go to the next level. Every student grows at their own pace, but the number of
classes taken per week is what boosts their skill level. Practising more than once a week is key.
The coach evaluates each student and let's them know if and when they are ready to move.
If a student takes a few months off they may become rusty and may have to start at a lower level to review important basic skills and memorization.
Memorization of basic tennis skills is key and we accomplish this by repetition and fun hand eye coordination skill builder games along with
instructions on grips, hitting through the ball, hand/eye/footwork coordination drills and skills.

COMPLETE DESCRIPTION
This class begins with the introduction to the very basic skills of tennis. Proper court
etiquitte is introduced and highly emphasized with the youngest group so they have a lot of fun.
Starting with proper grip introduction for forehand, backhand, and volleys. Correct stepping, balance and movement and
footwork is mainly emphasized with a lot of fun games that build individual hand eye coordination skills.
Full court games are then introduced, using big yellow "scoop it up" balls, which allows for higher success rate in
making contact with the ball. This allows for even a very beginner to play comfortably and enjoy the
game of tennis with consistency and ease.
Once the instructor sees a big improvement in skill level they move to Mini Star 2.
Students who have taken 3 month consecutive lessons with tennisbuddys will be evaluated to see if they are ready to move to the next level.
The instructor always emphasizes that a student's biggest reward is their progress (no matter how small or big).
To just be outdoors and active and build good hand eye coordination with a sport like tennis is a health benefit in and
of itself. Important factor is that always choose a program and an instructor that a child really enjoys no matter what
sport you pick, then they will more likely be able to choose a sport and grow to love it.
