DESCRIPTION
This class begins with the introduction to the very basic skills of tennis.
Starting with proper grip introduction for forehand, backhand, and volleys and correct form, using
regular tennis balls.
Games are then introduced using big yellow "scoop it up" balls, which allows for higher success rate in
making contact with the ball. This allows for even a very beginner to play comfortably and enjoy the
game of tennis, without realizing their progress on their technical skills, with correct form.
Main emphasis is on having lots of fun, while playing a lot of fun games that, all benefit the hand eye coordination
required in tennis. Once the instructor sees a big improvement in skill level they move to Mini Star 2.
At the end of a season (3 month tennisbuddys sessions) they get a little gift for their hard work.
The instructor always emphasizes that a student's biggest reward is their progress (no matter how small or big).
Learning the game of tennis, imporving current skills, or whatever it maybe, the appreciation and love for the
game itself is a big achievement, for every individual child!
