It is important that you read the full contents of tennisbuddys Policy before you register & pay for a class!

Important Note:

At the time of registration you have a choice to agree or disagree to the tennisbuddys policy and once you have signed up for a class and paid for it you are bound to the tennisbuddys policy agreement!

  • SEASONS
    Note time change under each class schedule according to season and daylight savings time. Rates are according to 1 month (session) or 3 months (season).

    Spring: Feb, March, April
    Summer: May, June, July
    Fall: Aug, Sept, Oct
    Winter: Nov

    Dec and Jan due to the weather, only private lessons are available!


  • DEADLINE
    1. Registrations and Payments must be received by the 25th of the month prior to the monthly session or season (3 months) whichever you have signed up for. Please don't wait till the last minute as classes fill up fast!
    2. First 8 registrations and payments received will get a spot. It is first come first served. Other's will be put on a waiting list.


  • DISCOUNTS
    Discounts apply only to 1 month (2 classes a week) and 3 month (1 class a week or two classes a week) sessions. If you sign up for 2 months only, you pay the full monthly rate.


  • LATE PICK-UP FEE
    Children must be picked up on time. Late pick-up charge of $5 for every 10 minutes will be applied.


  • PAYMENTS

    If you are an attending student and choose to pay on the court for the next session, you may do so on the last class of that monthly session, but registration must be received prior to that. You spot is not guaranteed if you go past the 25th deadline date, as other's may have completed registration and payment before you.


  • CLASS DURATION
    Classes run the first four weeks of the month. 1st to the 28th of the month.
    Example: the first 4 Sunday's or the first 4 Monday's.

    All Classes are 1 hour long, except for the All Star class that runs in November (1.5 hrs)!


  • RAIN / INCLEMENT WEATHER (rain, snow, very high wind chill factor)
    It is your responsibility to call the instructor at 512-565-6915.
    Never assume a class has been cancelled or you may lose a class. On a rainy day, or after it has rained, please don't just show up for class, always call first. Sometimes, the court dries quickly sometimes it is too wet to run a class. Always call 20 minutes before class starts!


  • MAKEUP CLASS - only due to inclemental weather or instructor absense (not during regular holidays)
    1. Make up classes are held every week, Saturday's from 9:00am-12:00pm.
    You will be notified which class will go first.
    2. If there is a 5th day in a month then that maybe used, if too many classes get rained out.
    3. If you do not attend the makeup class assigned you will lose it without refund or credit.
    4. Makeup classes are only held in the case of inclement weather (rain, snow, very high wind chill factor) or instructor absence due to sickness.
    5. If the instructor-attempted makeup class gets rained out as well, there will be no 2nd attempt, the class will be cancelled for good.
    6. If the last week of the month your class get's rained out and there is no Saturday in that last week then the makeup class will be dismissed and makeup will not be held on the next month's Saturday class. In other words, makeup classes has to be made up within the month and cannot go into the next month.


  • HOLIDAYS:
    Thanksgiving day (Thursday) and Friday, Labor Day, and 4th of July.


    Very important notification: There will be no classes during the above holiday's. There is no makeup, credit or refund if a class falls under a holiday. It is your responsibility to read the policy and make sure you are aware of this before signing up for tennisbuddys' classes. At the time of registration you are made aware of all the policie's again and it gives you a choice to agree or disagree before registering and paying for a class/classes.

    Our season starts in February and ends in November and the schedule for the whole year is posted on the website for your convenience. December and January due to poor weather we are off and only open for private lessons.



  • CLASS SIZE
    1. Class Size - Minimum 3, maximum 8 in a Class

  • 2. Classes will run only if the minimum 3 player requirement is fulfilled. If there are less than 3 players, you will be notified before a monthly session begins. You have the option to apply your payment towards private lessons, get a full refund or apply it towards the next session!
    3. Once a group lesson has started with the minimum of 3 students, if only 1 or two students show up and the other's are absent: class only runs for 1/2 hr. As you are getting a private/semi-private lesson private lesson at a very low group rate fee which you have pre-paid for, when there are only 1 or 2 students. You don't have to pay additional amounts as you have pre-paid for a full month or 3 months group lesson fee.

  • CREDIT AND REFUND

  • No refund will be granted after a session begins. A credit will be issued in case of a documented medical problem.

  • ATTENDANCE

  • 1. Please be on time for classes so they can operate smoothly and on time.
    2. If you will be absent, please kindly e-mail the instructor, so the drop-in's can attend. 3. If you miss a class due to sickness or a personal reason, there will be no makeup, credit or refund as the instructor still has to run the class.
    4. Attending other classes other than the one you are signed up for is not permissible, to makeup sick days or absences.
    6. If you have paid for 3 months in advance you may change your class schedule with instructor permission before the session begins if there is a conflict in your schedule.

  • COURT ETIQUETTE

  • 1. Disruptive and unruly behavior is not tolerated. With fair warning the student will be removed from the class with partial refund.
    2. Please kindly refrain from coaching your child while the instructor is present, it is very distracting and difficult for both student and coach to focus.
    3. The instructor request's that the parents watch from outside the tennis court.

  • WHAT TO BRING

  • 1. Please bring a water bottle as there are no water fountains at the park. Sunscreen, sunhat, loose clothing, tennis or comfortable shoes but no slippers or sandals is all advisable.
    Note: There are no restrooms at the park.

  • WHAT IS PROVIDED

  • 1. Tennis balls and other tennis related items are provided.
    2. Tennis racket's can be borrowed for the duration of the class, if you don't own one and have indicated that on the registration form.
    3. At the end of a season (3 months), all the Junior programs receive a small gift reward for their hard work. Most of the items and little gift rewards are purchased by tennisbuddys but sometimes also donated by parents.

  • COST OF CLASS

  • Court reservation fees to the city parks and recreation, tennis balls, rackets, reward gifts for the children at the end of each season, and tennis tools used for training and conditioning.
