Please read the tennisbuddys Policy completely and thoroughly before you register & pay for a class!

Your payments will only be accepted with completely filled out liability and consent forms which is an agreement that you have read these policies and signed off on it.

  • LATE FEE
    Payment must be postmarked by the 25th of the month, prior to the 1 month session or 3 months (dicounted rate) sesssions that you are signing up for.
    Any payments mailed after the 25th, is subject to a late fee charge of $15 in addition to the class rate. NO EXCEPTIONS.



  • TENNISBUDDYS SEASONS
    Month to month classes are called monthly sessions. A 3 month session is called a season. tennisbuddys monthly sessions runs from January 2nd to December 28th.
    You can sign up for any 3 consecutive months (register once and pay once, discounted rate) or 1 month class option is available but you must register each month and pay each month and it is at a normal fee, non discounted rate.

    tennisbuddys seasons:
    Season 1: Jan, Feb, Mar
    Season 2: Apr, May, Jun
    Season 3: Jul, Aug, Sept
    Season 4: Oct, Nov, Dec


    Note: Please check the "holiday's" link to find out which holidays fall under which season. We will not have classes if a holiday falls under a season. There will be no makeup, refund or credit for a class/classes that fall under holidays and for absences and personal conflicts.


  • DEADLINE
    1. Registrations and Payments must be received by the 25th of the month prior to the 3 month season you are signing up for. Please don't wait till the last minute as classes fill up fast!
    2. First 8 registrations and payments received will get a spot. It is first come first served. Other's will be put on a waiting list.


  • DISCOUNTS
    Discounts are already applied to all the classes in each 3 month season (depending on 1 cl/wk, 2cl/wk).


  • LATE PICK-UP FEE
    Children must be picked up on time. Late pick-up charge of $5 for every 10 minutes will be applied. The coach has classes back to back and cannot be responsible for your child after class is over. The instructor's are only responsible for your children for the duration of the class. It is your responsibility to ensure on-time pickup and drop-off and to ensure your child is safe.


  • PAYMENTS

    Late fee charge of $15 applies in addition to all class payments, postmarked after the 25th of the month. The checks have to be mailed/posted at the latest on the 25th of the month.

    If you are an attending student and choose to pay on the court for the next season, you may do so, by your last class of the season prior to the next season, but registration must be received prior to that. Registration only reserves your spot temporaritly, payment confirms it. Your spot is not guaranteed if you haven't paid. If you bring a check to the court after the 25th, payment will only be accepted with a late fee.


  • CLASS DURATION
    Classes run the first four weeks of the month. 1st to the 28th of the month.
    Example: the first 4 Sunday's. If there is a 5th Sunday, there is no class.

    All Classes are 1 hour long.


  • RAIN / INCLEMENT WEATHER (rain, snow, very high wind chill factor)
    It is your responsibility to call the instructor at 512-565-6915.
    If the weather is doubtful, never assume a class has been cancelled or is still running, you may lose a class or have to drive to the court when the courts are still wet. On a rainy day, or after it has rained, please don't just show up for class, or assume it is cancelled, always call first. Sometimes, the court dries quickly sometimes it is too wet to run a class. Always call 20 minutes before class starts or before you leave!


  • MAKEUP CLASS - only due to incremental weather or instructor absence
    1. Makeup's classes are at the coach's discretion to call anytime during the week or weekend. The coach will make sure one make up class is held and call it and coordinate what is best, via e-mail. If the makeup get’s rained out as well, we dismiss the class. This is our policy and please make sure you have read it. Makeup classes will not be changed or rescheduled at a parent's request.

    2. If you do not attend the makeup class assigned to you, you will lose it without refund or credit.
    3. Coming to another class that you have not signed up for, to do makeup for personal absences is not permissable, we have to keep the student to teacher ratio and cannot allow the class to overflow.
    4. Makeup classes are only held in the case of inclement weather (rain, snow, very high wind chill factor) or instructor absence due to sickness.
    5. If the instructor-attempted makeup class gets rained out as well, there will be no 2nd attempt, the class will be dismissed for good.


  • HOLIDAYS for 2010:
    tennisbuddys Holiday's - Please read before you sign up for a class! Classes run the first four weeks of each month, 1st to the 28th. If any of the classes fall under the following holiday's, we do not have class. No refund, credit or makeup. It is your responsibility to read our policy before you sign up for a class.
    January 1st: New Year's day
    March 15, 16, 17, 18: Spring break we are off, these 4 days.
    July: Coach on vacation
    September 6th: Labor Day
    November 25th, 26th, 27th, 28th: Thanksgiving holiday
    December 24th, 25th: Christmas holiday


  • CLASS SIZE
    1. Class Size - Minimum 4, maximum 8 in a Class

  • 2. Classes will run only if the minimum of 4 player requirement is fulfilled. If there are less than 4 players, you will be notified before a monthly session begins. You have the option to apply your payment towards private lessons, or move to another similar class to fill the number of 4 student minimum group requirement or get a full refund or apply it towards the next session!
    3. Once a group lesson has started with the minimum of 4 students, if only 1 or two students show up and the other's are absent: class only runs for 1/2 hr. As you are getting a private/semi-private lesson private lesson at a very low group rate fee which you have pre-paid for. You don't have to pay additional amounts as you have pre-paid for full 3 months or 1 month group lesson fee.
    4. We reserve the right to cancel, combine classes, or adjust group lesson fees to private lessons with insufficient enrollment.

  • CREDIT AND REFUND

  • If you wish to withdraw from a 1 month or 3 month program, we need 2 weeks prior notification before classes start, and you will get a full refund if we can fill in your spot. If we cannot fill your spot then you get a partial refund. If it is less than 2 weeks notice, we can only give you a credit towards another month or months immediate sign up. No refund will be granted after a session begins. A credit will be issued in case of a documented medical problem which will be honored for the 3 months thereafter. Within the 3 months if you do not take advantage of your credit you will lose it.

  • ATTENDANCE

  • 1. Please be on time for classes so you don't miss out on valuable instructions and get behind, also classes operate smoothly.
    2. If you will be absent, please kindly e-mail the instructor, so the drop-in's can attend and I can also get a head count to notify the other's if it will turn into a half hour class. Please be courteous about this. You can also call 512-565-6915 and leave a message. 3. If you miss a class due to sickness or a personal reason, there will be no makeup, credit or refund as the instructor still has to run the class. You may not attend another class to makeup your absense either. All classes have a student to teacher ratio or 8 students, and it is unfair for the classes to overflow. The only exception is if the instructor sees a good reason to do this if too many classes have been rained out.
    4. Attending other classes other than the one you are signed up for is not permissible, to makeup sick days or absences. This will overflow the class.
    6. If you have paid for 3 months in advance and have a conflict with your schedule, you may change your class schedule with instructor permission before the monthly session begins. This depends on if there are spots in the other classes.

  • COURT ETIQUETTE

  • 1. Disruptive and unruly behavior is not tolerated. With fair warning the student will be removed from the class with partial refund.
    2. Please kindly refrain from coaching your child while the instructor is present, it is very distracting and difficult for both student and coach to focus and it put's a lot of pressure on the student.
    3. We encourage parents to cheer and clap and encourage their children from outside.
    4. The instructor request's that all family members of a student must watch from outside the tennis court and wait outside. It is a safety hazard with balls and rackets and students chasing balls during drills.

  • WHAT TO BRING/What to wear

  • 1. Please bring a water bottle as there are no water fountains at the park. Sunscreen, sunhat, loose clothing is advised during summer. Jackets are a must in winter, please send the kid's with one. The temperature drops in the eve very quickly. Tennis or comfortable running shoes must be worn, but no slippers or sandals, they will not be allowed to attend due to risk of injury. We advise that kid's were loose comfortable clothese according to weather, shorts or warmup pants and shirts (Not tight jeans). Students can run and move freely and more comfortably and run faster in loser clothing.
    Note: There are no restrooms at the park. Please make sure that your children are ready for 1 hour before leaving.

  • WHAT IS PROVIDED

  • 1. Tennis balls and other tennis related training items are provided.
    2. Tennis racket's can be borrowed for the duration of the class, if you don't own one and have indicated that on the registration form.


  • COST OF CLASS

  • Tennisbuddys, LLC's cost of class goes towards, court reservation fees to the city parks and recreation, tennis balls, free loanout rackets, goodies and treats, for the children at the end of each season, and tennis tools used for training and conditioning and more. tennisbuddys helps keep our neighborhood's Oakview park courts, maintained. tennisbuddys, LLC put's in work order's with the city of Austin Parks and Rec dept. to upkeep: the backboards, nets, trees and grass trimmed, signs around the courts to keep vandalism to a minimum, picnic benches and more. tennisbuddys has been serving our neighborhood since 2004 and is proud of our park and courts. tennisbuddys, LLC is sponsored by LONA and the City of Austin parks and recreation department, Pickfair Community Center.
